Dolores "Dee" Blood

Dolores 'Dee' M. Blood was met at Heaven's gates with open arms by Staff Sergent (Ret) Mark Blood, on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Dee was born on February 25, 1944, to her parents, Herbert and Lillian (Clauss) Wickman. She was united in marriage on June 1, 1963, to the love of her life, Gary L. Blood, where they proceeded to annoy each other for 62 years. Together they raised three children, Kim, Mark and Scott. Dee was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and VERY proud great-grandmother.

Dee loved many activities indoors and out. She loved her bowling leagues in Wausau and at Chet & Emil's and hunting the elusive big buck during November rifle season on the family farm. She had many crafting hobbies including ceramics, knitting, crocheting and especially sewing. As a young family she made quite a few clothes for her three children. She later went on to make many quilted projects to be handed down as family heirlooms. Dee recently was teaching her first great granddaughter how to sew.

Lastly Dee was a huge 'Packer Backer'. She even sported her personalized car plates 'PackOne'. You could hear her cheers or frustrations all the way outside to the barnyard.

Dee is survived by her loving husband, Gary; daughter, Kim (Jeff) Johanning; son, Scott (Carla) Blood; granddaughter, Jerica (Shawn) Kosky; grandson, Kade Johanning; great-granddaughters, Emmalyn, Raelyne, and Oaklynn Kosky; siblings, Jim Wickman, Mike Wickman, Jan Jorgenson, Dawn McMillan, Barb Stone, Judy Groshek, and Joy Rodock; sisters-in-law, Dar Blood and Nancy Blood and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian Wickman; her son, Mark Blood; siblings, Albert, Gary, Orville, Beverly, and Betty and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 2:30 PM until the end of the Packer game at Norrie Town Hall. Please wear your Green and Gold and cheer on the Green Bay Packers with Dee one final time. Let's hope Dee's cheers or frustrations are heard by the 'Pack' and they can pull off a win against the Cardinals.
