Dolores Jane Cooley

Dolores Jane Cooley was beloved by many and passed away peacefully on Friday October 11th, 2024. Dolores was born on March 14th, 1933 in Neptune, NJ and was a resident of Point Pleasant for over 60 years.
While predeceased by her husband Richard, sons Joseph and Frankie and daughter Rita, who Dolores will be greeted by them in heaven. She is survived by daughter Linda Gencarelli and husband Jerry, daughter-in-law Susan Esposito, son Louis Esposito and wife Laureen, daughter Mary Hoak and husband Larry, and daughter Theresa Pataky and husband Paul. Along with her 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Dolores was known as "Dee" by her friends but "Grammy" by her family and their friends. Dolores was a very spiritual woman who prayed the Rosary daily and thanked God for everything in her life. While loving any time that was spent with family, she was easily brought to tears of joy. Every morning you could find her with a hot cup of coffee and a good book. She was a big sports fan, you could always hear her cheering for her favorite team the NY Yankees or watching football on Sunday. All who loved her will miss her dearly as she was a kind and gentle woman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday October 17th, at Saint Martha's Church, located at 3800 Herbertsville Road in Point Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Deborah Hospital Foundation.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
