Dolores "Dodo" Elaine (Duncan) Crocker went to be with her Lord at the age of 91. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at the First Christian Church with Reverend Troy Hartley officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Born March 31, 1932, in Woodward to Chloie (Berry) and Don Duncan, she had a full and eventful life. In 1950, she graduated from Woodward High School next to her sweetheart and future husband of 64 years, Richard "Dick" Crocker. They had two sons, Reginald Dean and Donald Howard.
In addition to the role of mother and grandmother, Dolores worked in many positions, including at the Woodward Daily Press, and the Woodward Senior Center. A musician her whole life, Dolores played the piano at multiple churches over the years, 'retiring' at the age of 90 from the First Christian Church. As a teenager, in the aftermath of the Woodward tornado of 1947, she spent three days accompanying her high school music teacher on the piano as they went from funeral to funeral. In addition to piano, Dolores loved entertaining, playing cards, and a diet coke with lemon.
In 1972, after Dick retired from City Manager of Woodward, they started Crocker Music Company and owned it until the 80's.
In 1989, Dick and Dolores moved to Prescott, AZ, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed 15 years of mountain air and many friends before returning to live in Woodward.
She is survived by her son, Reginald Crocker and wife Patty of Tulsa; one grandson, Paul and wife Lauren of Tulsa; two granddaughters, Chloe of Atlanta, GA, and Katy of Washington, DC; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Donnie; two sisters, Hollis Boyle and Pauline Williamson.
While saddened by her death, her family is happy she is reunited with Dick just in time to celebrate their anniversary together.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the music department of First Christian Church of Woodward.
