Dolores (Kutzera) Deutsch, beloved matriarch and dedicated community servant, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. Born in Syracuse, New York, Daughter of the late Peter and Joanna (Nix) Kutzera.
Dolores was a familiar and protective face in the community, serving as a Howard County crossing guard for over 40 years. Her dedication to generations of children earned her the respect and gratitude of countless families.
When she wasn’t ensuring the safety of her community, Dolores lived a life with vibrant energy. She was a die-hard Redskins fan, never wavering in her support in her loyalty to her team. An avid bowler and a lover of bingo, she thrived in the company of friends and the excitement of the game. Her favorite memories were often made near the water, enjoying cherished vacations in Ocean City, MD, and Florida with family and friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph and her dear son Tommy Deutsch. Her legacy of love continues through her surviving family: Children Larry (Janet), Mike (Paula), and Jimmy (Debbie); Grandchildren Ashley (Ryan), Michael (Heather), Cathy, Christoper, and Dakota; and her Great-Grandchildren Jaxson, Jake, Brendan, Dylan, Layla, and Khloe.
Dolores will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
