Patrick Charles "Uncle P" Deutsch

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved PATRICK CHARLES DEUTSCH on December 5, 2025. Uncle P, as he is affectionately called, was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on January 14, 1959 to John F. Deutsch and Kathleen S. Riley. Survived by his spouse, Glecilda "Glee" Untalan Deutsch, daughter, Genevieve Wera Hock & her husband Chris; grandchildren Sophia Anna 12, Gabriel William 9, siblings; Daniel (Lida) Deutsch, Margaret (Tucker) LeBien, Richard (Janet) Deutsch, Steven Deutsch (Carolyn Bagley Herron), Kathleen (Tim) Scully, Christopher Deutsch (Mary Laymon), Timothy (Karen) Deutsch;. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Kathleen and his brother John Jr.

Patrick graduated from Shanley High School in 1977, achieved his Associate Degree from Moorhead State in Minnesota, grew up in North Dakota before he moved to California in 1981. One of his many achievements from his successful career as a system design expert, was that he worked as a Principal Consultant at Advanced Securities, a home automation company where he met his wife, Glee, during one of his installation projects. They got married at St. Joseph's Church in Pinole, CA on August 16, 2003. They made their home in Vallejo, California. Patrick was an expert in the Fire Life Safety industry. Holding the elite NICET Level IV certification, the go-to leader for complex military commercial projects. From 1994 - 1995, he served as an Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge in Livermore, CA. Before his untimely death, Patrick had been semi-retired and working freelance since May 2023.

Patrick also enjoyed being around his extended family. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner celebrations were held at the home of Armando & Lurcelle Billostas (his in-laws), where he enjoyed pot roast meals prepared especially for him. He particularly loved Mama Rose's (Glee's loving mom) recipe of pot roast. Although he never met Teofilo (Glee's dad), he learned of his father-in-law's love for pansit, a Filipino noodle dish, which he sampled but failed to repeat the experience. He enjoyed discussing sports with Glee's nephew, Lester Valderas & his girlfriend Teri Mai. A sport enthusiast, he favored the Bay Area teams; The Golden State Warriors, The San Francisco Forty Niners, and The San Francisco Giants. He also loved watching the Minnesota Vikings play.

In memory of Patrick's life, his family will hold

We will miss Patrick sorely. He will be remembered for his dedication to family, his kind demeanor and his happy disposition in life.

May his memory be a blessing, and may those who loved him feel held and supported in the days ahead.
