Dolores lived for 92 blessed years, and what a blessed life it was.
Dolores attended Schenley High School and graduated on June 23rd, 1950.
Our Mother had two passions in life. One was her love for doing hair and the other was caring for people. When she left her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA for New York City in the early 1950s. She knew it wouldn't be easy but she did what she had to do. She found a job in the Bronx, New York at Calvary Hospital where she pursued her second passion- taking care of others. Our mother had a heart of gold. She cared for people of all ages.
Growing up, our mom would feed all the kids in the projects and even do their hair on special occasions. When people became ill, they would knock on our door, and she would help without a complaint.
She was a loving matriarch who shared her wisdom, support, and strength through life's triumphs and challenges.
Dolores peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, having lived 92 years to the fullest.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Taylor, her husband, Jessie Cornelius Eaddy, and her siblings Ronald Taylor Sr., Robert Taylor, George Taylor, Jerome Taylor, Sanford Taylor, Patricia Donaldson, and Anna Golden.
She leaves behind her children: Jeffery F. Eaddy (wife Shelly Eaddy) Sharon L. Eaddy, Rhonda M. Eaddy, Derek J. Eaddy, Victoria L. Owens, Stacey D. Hanson (husband Henry Hanson Jr.)
Her grandchildren included Duquan Eaddy, Duquia Daniels, Kierra Hanson, Sha-King Greene, Rahmel Eaddy-Riley, Hennon Hanson, Hennessee Hanson, Shahada Hanson, Samir Hanson, Mazia Eaddy, Amir Eaddy, Samihah Eaddy, Takeima Eaddy, D.J Eaddy, Taylor Eaddy, And Myles Eaddy.
Her great-grandchildren are Samirah Hanson, C.J Wilson, Chase Wilson, Qua'heim Hanson, Zai'ere Hanson, Sy'ier Eaddy, and Jaylani Velez-Eaddy.
She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
