Dolores "Dolly" Ann Honsinger, of Bay City, Michigan, age 94, passed away March 24, 2024 at New Hope Bay. She was born April 9, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Virgil VanParys Sr. and Thelma Cummings. Dolly had a passion and love for dancing, wether it was polka dancing or any other music, you could find her feet moving. She also loved board games and card games, golf and marbles the most, especially with her family. Time with her grandchildren and family was most special to her.
Surviving Dolly are daughter, Terrie Pelton; grandchildren: Connie Snell, Sherri Pelton, Rich (Sadie) Pelton, Barb Eschels; great-grandchildren: Ava Snell, Isabelle Snell, Megan (Alex) Rezler, Hannah Ownsby, Aydreonna (Don Higgins) Pelton, Gabby Janiskee, Josh Pelton, Stormey Pelton, Kane Pelton; great-great-grandchildren: Scarlette, Selena, Rowen, Chloee, Alexx, Amelia, Emery, Payton, Rainah; and many nieces and nephews; she is also survived by her best friend and special dancing partner, Ross Brown and all of his family who loved Dolly equally. She is preceded in death by her first husband and father to Terrie, Joe Zielinski; she later married Jack Honsinger and he preceded her in death in 2008; siblings: Virgil "Sonny" VanParys, Jr., Floyd VanParys, Patty Dee Eschels, step-sister Shirley Anderson and step-mother Jeanette VanParys.

A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024 at Squires Funeral Home. Reverend Kellie French will officiate. Friends and family may gather for visitation from 12:00 - 5:00 PM. Honoring Dolly's wishes, cremation will follow services. Those considering a donation in her name may wish to consider a donation to Cardinal Hospice.
