Dolores Ann Cannon Hoyt, age 70, of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Monday, March 17th, 2025. She was born on Thursday, January 20th, 1955, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to her late parents Thomas Asbey and Edna Mae Carney Cannon. She was a member of the East Ellijay Baptist Church and was a retired Confectioner from Publix Super Markets. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Keith Hoyt.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Johnathan Curtis and Jamie Keener Hoyt of Ellijay, granddaughter Shelby Lynn Hoyt of Ellijay, sister and brother-in-law Brenda Cannon and Jeff Dorman of Houston, Texas, and brother and sister-in-law Gary and April Cannon of Dade City, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at 11am from the Logan Funeral Home Pavillion. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Fields. An inurnment service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at 3pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
Flowers are being accepted, and donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be made at www.loganfuneralhome.com. Logan Funeral Home of Ellijay is in charge of arrangements.
