Dolores Mary Kluck (Furmanek) was born on October 16, 1943, to Frances and Walter Furmanek. She was the eldest of her seven siblings (Val, Marlene, Art, Allen, Lenore, Greg and Bonita). She grew up on dairy farm in Bevent, Wisconsin. Dolores graduated from Wittenberg High School in 1961. In her high school yearbook, her friends and classmates described her best: "she was the nicest, sweetest girl in the world" and a "swell girl."
Dolores married Roger T. Kluck on April 4, 1964, at St Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent, and they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. They had three children together (Randy, Kim and Kyle). When she wasn't raising children and taking care of her family, Dolores had careers in banking and real estate. Wherever she worked, Dolores most enjoyed interacting with people. Dolores enjoyed bowling, gardening, doing yardwork, walking by the lake on their property and spending time with family. It was when Dolores was holding her grandchildren that her smiles were the biggest.
Dolores is survived by her husband, her three children, two sisters, three brothers, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, one brother (Greg) and one sister (Bonita).
Dolores passed away due to Alzheimer's disease. In her final years, her family was privileged to be able to return some of the loving care she provided to them.
The family would like to thank the caregivers & staff at Sylvan Crossing for the care & kindness they provided to Dolores during a difficult time. Their compassion & kindness and support made a difference in our lives, allowing us to cherish precious moments with her in comfort & peace. At Sylvan, mom continued to make friends and even had her own guardian angel.
The cure for Alzheimer's is coming, just not soon enough for Dolores. Instead of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) which is dedicated to ending Alzheimer's.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 22, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church 800 Fourth Ave. Stevens Point. Rev. John Potaczek will officiate.
Visitation on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the St. Faustina room at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's of Torun parish cemetery.
