Dolores Analla Mendoza, better known as “Lola” or “Lolita,” 76 of Monahans, TX passed away on October 23, 2025, at her home in Monahans, TX.
Lola was born in Monahans, TX to Jose and Monica Analla on January 10, 1949.
She married Eliseo “Shorty” Mendoza on August 3, 1974, in Monahans, TX. Lola lived in Monahans for most of her life where she and Shorty raised their six children. Lola worked at different restaurants in Monahans; McClain’s, Best Western, Dairy Queen, Bob’s Big Burger, Border Cowboy (Wickett), and lastly at McDonalds; always as a cook as she loved to cook.
Lola was also a local volunteer. She helped with Ward County Greater Works and our local Monahans Kidz Zone when they first got started in Monahans. She loved helping and being able to contribute.
Grace Fellowship of Monahans was her home church, but she enjoyed visiting other churches in the community.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Monica Analla; her husband, Eliseo “Shorty” Mendoza; her mother-in-law, Catalina Mendoza; her sons-in-law, Willie Walker and Arturo Aranda, and her great-granddaughter Daniya Aria Alford.
Lola is survived by her six children; Laura Bejaran and husband Edward of Monahans; Nicole Walker of Midland; Chris Mendoza and wife Lacresia of Monahans; Marisol Almanza, Crystal Mendoza and Tobi Mendoza all three of Monahans.
Her brothers and sister; Emilio Anaya and wife Angie of Odessa, TX, Ada Ornelas of Alpine, TX and Joe Anaya and wife Teresa of Flower Mound, TX.
18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Almanza, Mathew Mendoza, Stephen Mendoza, Jonathan Anaya, Rylan Bejaran, Brandon Mendoza and Darrel Roy Jr.
Honorary Pallbearer are Darrel Roy, Arturo Aranda, and Sebastian Almanza.
Visitation will be Monday, October 27,2025 from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm and Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Harkey Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at For the King Monahans (Grace Fellowship), 1200 Wilma, with Edward Bejaran of FTKM officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Cemetery.
The family of Lola Mendoza wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Home Hospice for the care given to our mother in her final days.
