Dolores Scadding, 88, of Beverly, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Herrick House Assisted Living Community. Daughter of the late Joseph and Rosetta (Cusack) Valle, and widow of the late Joseph Scadding, Dolores was born in Boston and raised in Charlestown, MA. She graduated from Boston Girls' Latin School in Boston and later earned a bachelor's degree from Boston College.
Proudly identifying as a Bostonian, Dolores spent many years raising her family in Melrose prior to retiring in Beverly, where she enjoyed her return to living near the ocean.
Dolores loved literature, music, movies, and keeping up with current events. A lifelong learner with a keen sense of curiosity, Dolores will be remembered for her intelligence, dry wit, and love of animals, especially dogs.
Dolores is survived by: Her daughter Anne Marcucci and her husband Christopher of W. Hartford, CT; her daughter Stephanie Scadding and husband Scott Siniscalchi of Beverly; and grandchildren, Jack and Veronica Siniscalchi and Joseph Marcucci.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, on Thursday, July 24th, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at Central Cemetery, Beverly. Contributions may be made in Dolores' memory to Angell Memorial Hospital, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
