Domenico "Dominick" Conte, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old.
Dominick was born in Palomonte Province of Salerno, Italy where he was a dedicated worker on his family's farm during his younger years. He emigrated to the United States in June 1958, settling in Garfield, New Jersey, before making Parsippany his home in 1970. He was a proud and hardworking man who built a life dedicated to his craft as a self-employed mason. His expertise and dedication earned him the respect of many, and he will be remembered for the quality of his work and his commitment to providing for his family.
Dominick was known for his kindness, generosity, and having a heart of gold. He was a man of great integrity who cared deeply for those around him. His legacy of love, compassion, and hard work will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Guiseppe and Irene (nee-Massa) Conte as well as his siblings: Gerardo, Maria, Francesco, Rosina and Antonio.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Vanda (nee-Sierchio) Giuffrida Conte; his son, Joseph Conte, wife, Beverly and step grandson, Robert and step granddaughter, Heather; his daughter, Nancy Keeler, husband, Andrew and grandson, Vincent; his son, Daniel Conte, wife, Martha and grandsons Domenic, Anthony and Luca; his sister, Lucy Parisi and her husband, Anthony; his stepdaughter, Pina Zabala, husband, Herbert and step granddaughter, Kayla; his step daughter, Linda Mazzara and step grandson, Alex; his stepson, Frank Giuffrida, wife, Melissa and step grandsons: Elijah, Gaven and Santino; and his step granddaughter, Larissa Otero, husband, Rafael and step great-grandson, Lorenzo; he is also survived by his many dear nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27th 2025 at St. Christopher R.C. Church, 1050 Littleton Road, Parsippany. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting Hours are on Sunday from 2:00p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
