It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Bozzi, who passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 64. He was a loving father, son and brother. He was born in Toritto (Bari) Italy on August 18, 1960 and immigrated to the United States in 1966. A lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan, Joe had an unforgettable spirit, a great sense of humor, a colorful personality and lived life in his own way. He was that sarcastic, funny, witty one liner friend that everyone loved.

Joseph grew up in East Hanover and graduated from Hanover Park High School. He lived in Livingston for many years before settling in Whippany in 2015.

As a teenager Joseph worked at the Godfather Pizzeria, then owned and operated La Bella Roma Pizzeria in Maplewood from 1985-1990.

Joseph joined his brother, Dino, and his father, Francesco, at Bozzi Exports-Globe Electronics for 12 years. He also worked at Morristown Memorial Hospital as a Video Security Manager and spent one year in Afghanistan working for the Dept. of Defense.

Joe is pre-deceased by: his father, Francesco, who passed away on 8/2/2005; his brother, Vito C., who passed away on 6/4/2014.

He is survived by his daughter: Laura Sofia; his mother: Laura Pompieri Bozzi; his brother: Dino Bozzi and his wife, Gina; his sister: Angelica Marucci and her husband, Leonardo. Joseph is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to gather and honor Joe's life during the visitation at Par Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054 on Wednesday, August 20, 6:00-8:00 pm.

A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church 75 Ridgedale Ave Cedar Knolls. Entombment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.

Dear Joe, thank you for all the memories. Thanks for teaching us self-defense moves you learned in the Marines & how to cook your famous & delicious Italian dishes. Our memories could go on & on. We loved watching Western movies with you & hanging out. You were unique & one of a kind. You loved our Mom & were so incredibly good to all who knew you. We still use some of your funny phrases that u would say. We will never, ever forget you. Our favorite memories will always be when one of us would make you laugh at mom's house & you would clutch your chest & fall on your knees cracking up & would say, "stop, I can't". LOL We can still see you doing that in Heaven. We will always remember how you were such a tough guy, yet were the gentlest soul when you were with your beloved Winston. See you on the other side. (Ozzy Ozbourne song) we play it always in your honor.
Love, Justin & Andrew Dinspechin

Dear Joe, we miss you & love you. You were such an important part of our lives. We see a part of you everywhere we look in our house. We had such laughs & fun sitting around in the Cabin or enjoying your exquisite meals. You took such great care of Winston, who misses you so much too. We will never forget you. You will be in our hearts forever. You were our Italian Stallion. Til we meet again... may a flock of 100 Angels carry you home. Love Always, Irma, Justin, Andrew & Winston. XO
