Domenico Rotundo Obituary

Dominick Rotundo, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2023. He was born on January 1st, 1957, in Middletown, NY, to his loving parents Vincent and Maria Rotundo. As a first-generation American, Dominick was extremely proud of his country and cherished his American citizenship.
In his youth, Dominick was a talented athlete, known as the "Babe Ruth" of the Middletown little league team and a skilled soccer player. He carried his love for sports throughout his life and passed it down to his two daughters.
Dominick was married to his loving wife Linda Rotundo for 42 years, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, whom he adored. He was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first and making sure they were taken care of. His two daughters, Jennifer and Amanda Rotundo, were the lights of his life. Following in their father's footsteps, they both loved sports, specifically soccer, and still play to this day. Dominick was always their biggest fan, attending all their games and cheering them on from the sidelines.
Along with his love for his daughters, Dominick was a loving grandfather to his grandson Joshua and granddaughter Jemma, who affectionately called him "Pop Pop." He cherished his time with them and always made sure to spoil them with love and attention.
Dominick was well known in the Middletown community for his many years of work with his father and brother at the OCFS dirt track and their horse training business known as "Three R's Horse Farm." He was a fixture at the track and made many lifelong friends through his work there. He had a passion for dirt track racing, NASCAR, horse racing, professional sports and enjoyed spending time at the casino as well.
Dominick was a hardworking individual who dedicated his life to providing for his family. He worked as a store manager for Lloyds Supermarket, overseeing operations across multiple store locations in Warwick, Newburgh, and Middletown. After his retirement from Lloyds, Dominick started his own successful business, which his wife Linda continues to run today.
In addition to his love for family, Dominick had a passion for helping others. He was known for his compassion and generosity, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Dominick's warm personality and giving spirit touched the lives of many, he will be deeply missed by his wife Linda, his two daughters, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a strong work ethic. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his mother Maria, his wife Linda at home, his daughter Jennifer and her husband Jesse Bassignani of Sparrowbush, his daughter Amanda Rotundo of Middletown; his two grandchildren Joshua and Jemma Bassignani; one brother, Carmine Rotundo and his wife Laura of Middletown, their children his niece and Goddaughter Giuseppina her children Laila and Lucilla, and his nephew Vincenzo; his brother-in-law Dennis and wife Debi Kerstanski of Warwick; his brother-in-law Gary Kerstanski and his wife Mary of Goshen; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
He was predeceased by his father, Vincent Rotundo.
Visitation will be private. Funeral Mass will be held 11 A.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown for all who want to attend. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
