Domingo Luis "Idalou" Cervantez Jr

Idalou- Domingo Luis Cervantez, Jr, age 65, passed away, Friday, January 30, 2026 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 9, 2026, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Idalou. Interment will follow at the Idalou Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:00 P.M., Sunday, February 8, 2026, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Idalou. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Idalou.

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Domingo Luis Cervantez, Jr. III, age 65 of Idalou, Texas. Domingo passed away peacefully on January 30,2026.

Domingo was born on July 22, 1960, in Lubbock, Texas to Domingo and Janet Cervantez. Domingo grew up in Idalou and graduated from Idalou High School in 1979 and went on to attend Texas Tech University. In his pastime, Domingo enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson.

Domingo worked at various locations throughout his lifetime, including Lubbock International Airport, John Montford Unit, and most recently as the warehouse manager of Goodwill Industries.

Domingo will be missed dearly by numerous relatives, friends and coworkers. He will forever be remembered for his wit, his friendly smile, his deep faith, and loyalty to family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Domingo Cervantez, Sr. II and Janet Cervantez. He also leaves behind three sisters: Lucy Davis (Tim) of Conroe, Texas; Ida Fletcher of Midland, Texas and Lori Miller (Ken) of Ellicott City, Maryland. He is also survived by five nieces: Heather, Summer, Tabitha, Morgan and Analisa.
