Don Phillip Brennan, born September 19, 1937, in Seattle, Washington, peacefully departed this world on May 14, 2025, at the age of 87. At the time of his passing, Don resided in Graham, Washington, leaving behind a legacy grounded in faith, family, and dedication.
Don was a devout Christian, whose life was a testament to his beliefs. His spiritual journey was reflected in the kindness and honesty he extended to everyone he met. Don's life was enriched by his service in the Army National Guard from 1957 to 1963, a period marked by commitment and honor. It was in 1955 that he met the love of his life, Carol, and together they built a marriage that spanned 66 wonderful years, beginning in 1959.
An alumnus of Queen Ann High School, Don furthered his education at the University of Washington. His professional life was distinguished by an exceptional career in sales, where his talents earned him numerous accolades and recognition. Despite his professional success, it was his role as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather that truly defined him. Don's heart brimmed with love for his grandchildren, Dustin Brennan, Jess Kinder, and Douglas Jack Richman, whom he cherished deeply.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ora Brennan, whose guiding influence shaped the man he became. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Brennan, and his sons, Terry (Elizabeth) and Jeff Brennan, who will continue to honor his memory and carry forward his legacy.
The funeral service to celebrate Don's life will be held in Graham, Washington, on May 24, 2025. As we gather to remember Don, we reflect on his journey and the profound impact he had on those who knew him. In his own words, "I have reached the end of my journey and I will know the end is better than the beginning, but my children can walk alone and their children with them."
As his children said, "You will always be with us even when you have gone through the gates." And though they stood and watched as he went on, and the gates closed after him, they knew, "We cannot see him, but his memory will guide us forever."
