Don Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Don Brown, age 59, of Lineville will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in the McCollum Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Brown passed away on February 28, 2026 at the Clay County Nursing Home. He was born in Virginia, lived several years in Oklahoma but has lived in Randolph and Clay County since the early 80's.

Don worked several jobs over the years such as working on the pipeline, construction and equipment operator in the logging industry for many years. Whenever he could he loved to go deer hunting, and enjoyed looking for old artifacts and arrowheads.

He is survived by his sister; Deanna Cotney (Rickie) of Lineville, and Kevin Isbell (Carrie) of Talladega, and his Aunt and Uncle; Nadine and Bro. David Holcombe of Lineville, plus a host of cousins and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother; Helen Alene Griffin and his grandparents; L. M. and Olene Griffin.

Active Pallbearers will be Davy Holcombe, Daniel Smith, Kevin Isbell, T. J. Griffin, Joe Mullally, and Timmy Summerlin.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Hospice of Clay County.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville, Monday March 2, 2026 from 5:30 until 7:30 and until service time on Tuesday.
