Rev. Donald "Don" Ray Dungan, age 86, of Pleasant View, Tennessee died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock pm, Monday, June 16th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Riggs and Rev. Ed Cook officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service at 2:00PM. Following the funeral service, his remains will be cremated.
Mr. Don was born on July 3, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Paul Dungan & Eva Mauk Slate. He was a successful salesman throughout his career and was an ordained minister for most of his life. Mr. Don was a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many of those years. He was a member of several gospel singing groups throughout the Southeast. He was also very passionate about riding and working on motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Dungan; sons, Chris (Cindy) Dungan and Donnie (Melinda) Dungan; brother, Ron (Beverly) Slate; sisters, Lavergne Jauernig and Nancy Ortega; grandchildren, Alia (Edgar) Estrada and Sophie Dungan; and great-grandchild, Ellie Estrada.
