Don West Everman Jr., 66, of Grayson, peacefully departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday August 7, 2025at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Donnie was born on July 10, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Don W and Yvonne Everman. Donnie was a graduate of East Carter High School and Morehead State University. Donnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Grayson where he was baptized as a teen. Donnie also attended Crane Creek Baptist Church and Pactolus United Methodist Church.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Valerie Blevins Everman as well as three sons Dustin (Sarah) Everman and Weston Everman of Grayson and Austin (Laura Beth) Everman of Olive Hill. He is the proud grandfather to Kaleb Izac Everman, Lennix Kyle Everman, Macey Alexis Everman, Layla Ariel Everman and Lola Moon Everman. He leaves behind two sisters Marquetta (Perry) Dearfield and Janie (Michael) Potter as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will mourn his passing.

Donnie started his accounting career at Fraley Miller and Company in Grayson. From there he went to work at Kimbleton and Hampton CPA Firm in Ashland and during this time he completed the requirements for his CPA license. He worked for Addingtons and was the City Clerk of Olive Hill. In addition to his accounting work, he also completed many tax returns for family and friends. Donnie was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was very much a people person, having the ability to make everyone laugh with his sense of humor and fast thinking wit.

Donnie enjoyed listening to the Eagles, playing the guitar, watching football, gardening, spending time with his grandkids and riding motorcycles. He loved coaching and watching his boys and Kaleb in sports as well as his granddaughters dance. He also enjoyed listening to Lennix play the guitar and watching his wife and Austin in drama performances. He liked watching his nieces and nephews play sports, sometimes doing a lot of coaching from the sidelines.

Donnie had a special bond with his maternal grandmother Rena Newsome also known as "Big Mom". She gave Valerie the advice, "you better turn down his bed every night".

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday August 11, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Grayson with Bro. Tom Riffe officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am Monday until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Smith-Claxon Cemetery at Crane Creek in Greenup County.
