Don Ingram Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robertson County Funeral Home on Dec. 11, 2025.
Donald Eugene Ingram

April 22, 1947 - December 11, 2025

Born April 22, 1947 in Nashville as the second son of Margaret Virginia Ingram and Emory Andrew Ingram, Don was a lifelong resident of Tennessee. He was a member of the fiftieth graduating class of the former Central High School in Nashville in 1967. CHS is where he met the love of his life and future mother of his children, Linda Carol. The high school sweethearts married in December 1967 and settled in Robertson County where they reared two beloved and adoring children. They loved to travel together. Don and Linda enjoyed 38 years together until her passing in 2006.

In 2009, Mr. Ingram introduced himself to a lady named Joann, and they were married in May 2010. The pair made their home in Springfield for the next 15 years until her own serious health condition, coupled with his, made the two unable to care for one another and so she returned to Alabama to the care of her sons. Mr. Ingram's children took over his care.

Mr. Ingram was a retired truck driver. As a faithful member of his beloved church, South Haven Baptist, he used those well-honed driving skills to serve his Heavenly Father by driving the church bus on Sundays. Bringing countless children to church was a joy to him. He was even awarded bus driver of the year in 2010. This act of service was one he willingly performed until his health no longer allowed. He also tended the gate for sporting events hosted at the home court of his favorite team, the South Haven Patriots, until recently.

Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and his only sibling, Gerald Ingram. He is survived by his children, Sheri (Jeff) Savely (Coopertown), Kevin (Bobbie) Ingram (Greenbrier), grandchildren, Douglas Ingram, Courtney Ingram Holt (both of Florida) and Kevin Ingram, Jr. (Knoxville), two great grandchildren (Florida) and his favorite nephew, Randall Ingram (Columbia). Joann Ingram (Alabama), his second wife, also survives him.

Visitation will be held at Robertson County Funeral Home Monday, December 15th from 10:00 until 12 noon. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Goodlettsville., with Dr. David Blaser officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
