Don Stewart Prentice

Don Stewart Prentice died on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center in
Birmingham, AL. He was born on January 24, 1959 in Jackson, MS to Paskel and Gertrude Marie Stewart
Prentice. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1977, Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's
of Science in Marketing in 1981, and a Master's of Business Administration from Mississippi College in
1983. Most recently he worked as a Lead Data Architect for Protective Life Insurance in Birmingham,
AL. He and his wife Robin have been active members at Shades Mountain Community Church since
2017, where Don served as a Biblical Counselor and was certified by the IABC (International Association
of Biblical Counselors). He was preceded in death by his parents Gertrude Marie Stewart Prentice and Paskel Prentice. He
is survived by his wife of 41 years, Robin Dicken Prentice; his two sons, William Stewart Prentice, and
Samuel Joseph Prentice (wife: Grace Griffin Prentice); and six grandchildren, Holly Jordan Prentice,
Henry Stewart Prentice, Brooklyn Mackenzie Prentice, Austin Samuel Prentice, Evan Michael Prentice,
and Owen Griffin Prentice.
Visitation will be at Shades Mountain Community Church in the worship center on September
20, 2022 from 10:30AM-11:30AM. Following the visitation, a service will be held in the worship center
beginning at 11:30AM.

Church Biblical Counseling Ministry.
