Gregory Warner-

September 2, 1946 – November 6, 2025

Greg passed away peacefully in Riverton, Utah. Due to complications arising from long-term health problems.

Greg was born in Shelly, Idaho, to June K. Stoker and Charles E Warner. He graduated from Highland High School in 1964 and was a member of the State High School Football Team. After Graduation he attended Snow College on a Football Scholarship.

He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in the Southern Australian Mission.

In 1968, Greg married Pam Ball (later divorced), and together they welcomed three children. Greg worked for Mountain Fuel/Questar for 35 years. Where he met and made long lasting friendships.

While working at Mountain Fuel he started refereeing little league football games on Saturday mornings and it grew from there. He did this for 35 years. In 2002, Greg was inducted as an Official into the Utah Sports Hall of Fame. He worked many State championships in both football and basketball. He also worked football in the Big Sky Conference. Greg was also the State Arbiter for the Utah High School Activities Association for many years. He loved his association with all the High Schools Coaches, Athletic Directors and Principals.

Greg took great pride and joy in his yard always keeping it pristine. Wade (his son) remembers his friends saying the yard always reminded them of “Temple Square”.

Greg was proceeded in death by parents and his sisters Kathy Hollberg and Marie Olsen and one brother Steven Olsen.

Greg is survived by his children Wade (Carrie) Warner, Stacey (Mike) Winter and Brooke (Chris) Kynaston; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 1 niece Melissa (Mike) Smith.

We will be having a Celebration of Greg’s Life at a later date.
