It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dona Leanne (Centlivre) Jones, 65, on March 24, 2025 in Topeka, Kansas.
Dona is the daughter of David and Doris (Hanson) Centlivre. They both have preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her older sister, Denise (Centlivre) Fuller, and two nephews, Brian and Brent Fender.
Dona was a lifelong resident of Topeka. She attended Holy Name Catholic grade school and Hayden High, graduating in 1977.
Dona worked at Ohse Meats, Scotch Laundry Services, house cleaning services, and The Dock Restaurant. Her favorite hobby was tending to her houseplants. She loved her four-legged fur baby Heidi, who passed several years ago. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dona is survived by her husband John Jones, of Topeka, and his three children Franklin Jones, of Westminster, MD, Bridget Butler (Max) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Britani Jones of Topeka, whom Dona helped raise. She is also survived by six grandchildren; brothers, David Centlivre of Topeka, Dennis Centlivre (Krista) of Leawood, Kansas, and Duane Centlivre of Topeka; sister, Diana Hafenstein (Dale) of Collinsville, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 10:00-11:00AM at Penwell Gabel-Midtown Chapel. 1321 SW 10th Avenue Topeka, KS 66604 with a memorial service beginning at 11:00AM with Pastor Jerry Schmid officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Midland Hospice in Dona’s memory.
