Dona Lambert Obituary
Dona was born on December 29, 1953, in Monroe, MI, to George Wesley and Opal Cleo (Cupp) Hensley, who preceded her in death. In 2011, she relocated from Monroe to LaGrange, where she worked as a cashier at Miller's Super Valu until her retirement last year.
Dona was fiercely independent but had a deep love for her family. Her five grandchildren were the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to share stories and photos of them with anyone willing to listen. Her passion for Mickey Mouse was evident in her cherished collection of memorabilia, including sweaters, socks, and pajamas. Dona also loved spending time reading on her Kindle, immersing herself in countless stories.
She is survived by her children, Bo (Stena) Lambert and Bobbie Sue Dunn, both of Monroe, MI; her grandchildren, Brooklynn, Zachary, and Blake Lambert, and Gage and Gavin Dunn; and her siblings, Judy Dobbs of Tennessee, Mary Garrison of Ohio, Rick (Tina) Hensley of Michigan, Jeff (Tammy) Hensley of Michigan, and Linda DeWachter of Indiana.
A celebration of Dona's life will take place on Saturday, August 24th, from 11am to 2pm at the Knights of Columbus in Monroe, MI. Family and friends are invited to gather, enjoy brunch, and share stories as they honor her memory.
Dona will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
