Donald Lee Armstrong, 36, of Clayton, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 20, 1987. Donald is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Michael Armstrong, and sister, Misty Lynn Armstrong.
Donald grew up in Clayton and attended Cascade High School, and also Manuel High School in Indianapolis. He had worked as a laborer on many construction projects, and made many great friends over the years. He liked video games, old-school ATARI was a favorite. He loved being outdoors where he enjoyed fishing and taking motorcycles off-road. He will be missed and remembered for his deep love of animals, and for the special bond he had with his grandparents, Richard and Lula Armstrong.
Donald is survived by his father, Michael Armstrong of Clayton; sisters, Molly F. and Jessica M. Armstrong; grandparents, Richard and Lula Armstrong of Plainfield, IN. Also missing Donald are many extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 12-2 p.m. at the Helton & Harris Funeral Home, 4712 Pennsylvania St., Clayton, IN 46118. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Robert Sampson presiding. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald’s name to the First Baptist Church of Clayton, P.O. Box 80, Clayton, IN 46118.
