Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center - Everest ChapelDonald Barlament, age 93, passed away on September 29, 2025 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. Don was born in Green Bay, WI to Lawton and Mary Barlament on May 9th, 1932. He married Beverly Boguski on August 20th, 1955 in Green Bay at Annunciation Catholic Church.
Don is survived by his wife of 70 years, Beverly; four children: Dave Barlament (Suzy) of Pepin, WI; Barb Wendorf (Jeff) of Mosinee, WI; Patricia Tondreault of Mount Horeb, WI; and Tom Barlament (Sally) of Mosinee, WI; his grandchildren: Amanda Moberg (Karl), Melissa Latharus (Brandt), Pam Paulick (Ty), Jenna Culley (Justin), Taylor Barlament (Abby), Kelsey Schwartz (Luke), Morgan Tondreault, and Jake Brynjulfson; and 14 great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Grayson, Bronson, Leo, Mara, Reece, Camryn, Cate, Ava, Wyatt, Vayda, Hudson, Daniel, and Elaina. He is also survived by his brother Jack Barlament, and sister Lucille Seroogy, sisters-in-law Jackie Barlament, Kay Barlament, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob and Bill Barlament, sister Delores Paxton, brothers-in-law Don Paxton, Bob Seroogy, Bob Boguski, Ed Boguski Jr, sisters-in-law Karen Barlament, Judy Boguski, great-grandson Landon David Moberg, nephew Christopher Boguski, and many other beloved family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, October 10th, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM at St. Mark's Catholic Church (602 Military Road, Rothschild WI 54474) with Fr. Janusz officiating. Don will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, Wisconsin. Don worked in Sales for Nabisco Corporation for 34 years. He enjoyed dartball, woodworking, golf, traveling, and assisting with projects of all kinds for his children and grandchildren. He was actively involved at St Mark’s church for many years. He was a Lector, visited the homebound, and was part of the pre-marriage counseling program with Bev.
As a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, Don’s aliases included “The Big Tease” and “The Prince of Puce”. He had a knack for knowing exactly which buttons to push to get a smile from each of the kids, including a legendary talent for pairing his plaid shirts with clashing pajama bottoms. He loved making people smile, often saving and mailing his favorite Far Side jokes, comic strips, or funny stories to family and friends.
Don was a joy to be around, and will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes, Renaissance Assisted Living, and Aspirus Home Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Don and our family.
