He was a Lector, visited the homebound, and was part of the pre-marriage counseling program with Bev.

As a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, Don’s aliases included “The Big Tease” and “The Prince of Puce”. He had a knack for knowing exactly which buttons to push to get a smile from each of the kids, including a legendary talent for pairing his plaid shirts with clashing pajama bottoms. He loved making people smile, often saving and mailing his favorite Far Side jokes, comic strips, or funny stories to family and friends.

Don was a joy to be around, and will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes, Renaissance Assisted Living, and Aspirus Home Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Don and our family.
