Funeral services for Mr. Donald Gene Bennett Jr.,71, of Winnsboro, LA. will be held at 2pm, March 2,2026, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home, with Bro. Scott Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Cedar Cemetery. Visitation will be 5PM-8PM, Sunday March 1,2026, in the chapel, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA.

Don was born May 3,1954, in Winnsboro, LA, to the union of the late Donald Gene Bennett Sr. and the late Raleigh Talbert Bennett, and went to his heavenly home February 28,2026 in Winnsboro, LA, surrounded by his loving family.

Don, a graduate of Winnsboro High School, was a farmer for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, but especially his grandchildren. Don also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was long time member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Christina Bennett.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Dewanna Davis Bennett, a son, Ben Denny (Katisha), two sisters, Jan Albritton (John), and Amy Boswell (Mike), two brother in law, Chunk Davis, and Jerry Glen Davis (Penny), and sister in law, Madelon Davis, and five grandchildren, Hayden Harwick, Haylee Harwick, Dillion Trail, LB Denny, and Brayden Brasher, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Luke Barefield, Bryce Blackmon, Laylen Blackmon, Greg Davis, Darren Graham, Hayden Harwick, and Brody Jester.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelly Bennett, Jim Broder, Artie Carter, David Deblieux, James Dewey Polk, and Johnny Tannehill.
