Donald P. "Don" Buffum

Donald "Don" P. Buffum, 67, a resident of Swanzey and formerly of Keene, passed away peacefully while resting on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Alpine Health Care Center in Keene.
He was born a son to the late Dorothy (Labounty) and Richard Buffum Sr. on April 10, 1955 in Keene. Don was educated here at the local schools.
Don enjoyed his time working for Keene State College as their maintenance technician for 10 years until he retired in 2012. Prior, he worked for Melanson Company as their fabricator for 6 years. He also formerly worked for Homestead Woolen Mill in Swanzey for 10 years in their production department.
Donald loved going bowling, playing softball, and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time playing pool, hunting, and country driving.
Mr. Buffum is survived by his daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Clifford "Cliff" Faulkner of Fitzwilliam, his five siblings, sister in-law, Nancy Buffum of Swanzey, Donna Parkhurst of Swanzey, Sherry Lukasiewicz and her husband, Steve of New York, Thomas Buffum and his wife, Heather of Meredith, and Steve Buffum of Washington. He is also survived by two grandchildren Tyler and Trista, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, his two siblings, Richard Buffum Jr. and Neal Buffum, and his sister in-law, Martha Buffum, and brother in-law Frank Parkhurst.
In keeping with Don's wishes there will be no services at this time. A burial will take place later in the spring of 2024 at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 600 NH-12 Keene, NH. 03431.
