Donald Ray Cook, born on June 16, 1955, in Waco, Texas to parents, Willis and Patricia Cook, passed on Monday, August 25, 2025.
Donald was one of seven children. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1974. He dedicated many years to the General Tire Company. When he wasn’t working, you could find him on the lake waterskiing or tinkering with a car. Donald had a love for cars, whether it was rebuilding transmissions and motors or drag racing the cars he modified. After his time at General Tire, he moved on to working on and painting aircraft’s with Raytheon and L-3.
Donald spent any extra time he had driving around the parks of Lake Waco which was his favorite place to be able to just sit in the calmness and watch the water.
Donald embraced the opportunity to create lasting memories with his daughters Cheryl and Katrina when they were young, often spending weekends at the local arcade playing racing games and not resting until they each walked away with a prize from the claw machine.
He is survived by his daughters Cheryl Miller and husband Scott, Katrina Johnson and husband, Aaron; grandchildren Avery, Clara, Cullen, and Luke.
A graveside service for Donald will be held at Waco Memorial Park on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM
