Donald "Donnie" Gene Crass, Jr., 54 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Benton, Kentucky.
Born Friday, August 20, 1971 in Orange County, CA, he was the son of the late Donald Gene Crass, Sr. and the late Sandra Bickelhaupt Crass.
Father, husband, coach, animal lover, and amateur golfer are just a few of the titles Donnie held. He was a soccer coach for all three of his daughters starting at age 4 years old up until 18 years old. Donnie's competitive spirit was like no other and he devoted many hours to the sport he and his girls loved. He also had a big heart for animals, some may say the biggest. This showed through the many different pets his girls had over the years and his most recent project: rescuing and rehoming 7 German Shepards. One of which he claimed as his own. If Donnie wasn't at the soccer field, with his girls, or tending to his animals you could find him at the golf course playing with his buddies. His personal favorite title was Dad.
Surviving are his wife, Traci Green Crass of Benton, KY; daughters, Camryn Crass of Benton, KY, Kylee Crass of Benton, KY and Kelsey Crass of Benton, KY, brothers, Michael Draffen of Benton, KY and J.D. Draffen of Benton, KY; step-mother, Rosa Thompson of Big Sandy, TN and his special dad, Bobby Draffen of Benton, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his special mom, Janice Draffen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11AM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn and Bro. Allen Miller officiating.
Burial to follow at Brewers Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025 from 5PM to 8PM at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
