Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 78. Born on July 6, 1946 to the late DuWaine E. Cullimore and Florence E. (Humphrey) Cullimore. Don's early years were rooted in the Lansing community where he attended local schools before embarking on a journey of service. He lived a life of selflessness, devotion, and whose greatest joy came from the happiness of his family.
Don's commitment to his country was evident when he joined the United States Navy in 1965. He served with honor and distinction aboard the USS Ranger along the Vietnam Coast as a fireman until his honorable discharge in 1969. Returning to Lansing, Don began the next chapter of his life at a local gas station. It was there that he met the love of his life, Kristine, whose companionship would spark a lifetime of adventure and devotion.
After Don and Kris were married, Don secured a position at the Fisher Body Plant. Over the next three decades, he dedicated himself to General Motors, working diligently on the line. Don was a man of many passions, but none greater than his love for Kristine and his children. As a couple they were inseparable, sharing a love for travel. The couple enjoyed exploring new destinations on cruises, traversing the country in their motorhome, and indulging in the occasional excitement of casino trips. Family gatherings at Dickerson Lake were cherished moments always filled with laughter.
After the loss of his beloved Kris, Don's unwavering focus shifted to his children, embodying the essence of selflessness. His children became his world, and he dedicated himself to their well-being, ensuring that he was a constant, reliable presence in their lives each day.
