Donald J. Cuthbert
Age 60, of New Lenox, formerly of Riverdale, passed away January 21, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Donna (Albrecht) Cuthbert, loving father of Jordan Margaret and Andrew Morris (Ruby Verdugo); devoted son of Marlene (nee Hemann) Cuthbert; dear brother of David Cuthbert, Kathy (Les) Christiana; dear brother-in-law of Bonnie Albrecht, Gail Albrecht (Maurice Taylor); loved uncle, nephew, and cousin. He is also survived by his 4-legged friend, Payton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cuthbert.
Donny was born and raised in Riverdale and was a member of the Bricklayers Union. Donny enjoyed time with his family, including vacations to Disney, Arizona, and the family cottage. Donny enjoyed watching Jordan and Drew during their younger years playing everything from softball and baseball to volleyball. He enjoyed his Saturday night of bowling with Donna and friends. He also loved his fishing trips sipping on Dockside Pirates with his buddies. Don loved his weekends at the cottage spending time with family and partying with friends.
If he wasn’t laying brick at work, he spent his free time building Lego masterpieces like sport cars, cranes, and dump trucks. Come fall season, if Donny wasn’t watching the Bears at Soldier Field, he was glued to the television shouting at a Bears poor performance. As a season ticket holder for the past thirty years, Donny supported the Bears no matter if they were winning or losing. When football season ended, NASCAR season just began. He spent his Sunday afternoons watching every race as he would tinker in the garage. Don loved all sports, including the Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bulls, and was a huge Michael Jordan fan.
Donny will be missed by so many!
