Donald Davis, born on October 9, 1957, in Riverside, California, passed away on January 6, 2025, in Alvarado, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son, and brother, whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Donald leaves behind his wife, Janet Davis; his three children, Jonathan Davis, Lauren Davis, and Ryan Davis. Donald was also a proud stepfather to Matthew Dixon-McCurry and Jessica McCurry. Donald held a special bond with his furry friend, Bittie, who provided companionship and love.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Delilah Bridges, Olivia Bridges, and Lilly Bridges, who brought him immense joy and happiness. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Davis, and his stepmother, Judy Davis, as well as siblings, Shirley Davis and Sherri Panick.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Lenora Dorothy Cherry, his sister Zonya Davis, along with other family members, including his beloved grandparents. Their memories will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Donald was very proud of his Navy career and his 40 years of service for the VA Hospital. He most enjoyed his leisure time in Key West, Florida.
As we celebrate Donald's life, we reflect on his kindness, dedication to his family, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. His spirit will remain alive in the many lives he has touched, and he will always be remembered with great fondness and respect.
