Donald Wayne "Don" Davis, age 82, of Powell, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Don was a graduate of Church Hill High School and then went on to serve his country in the US Air Force. He then worked for many years at Quebecor Printing. After his retirement he worked in the small engine repair shop at the Hawkins Farmers Co-Op.

Don loved the Lord and was faithful to Him in all he did. Although he was unable to attend church for many years, he loved watching services on TV or online and continued to study God's word daily. He was always ready to share his faith and love for Jesus.

He was a hard worker and loved to take on projects around the house and in the yard. Basketball and football were sports he enjoyed watching and he also enjoyed reading. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Davis; Charlie and Woleska Sisk; brothers, JD, Lynn and Gary Davis; sister, Evelyn Dean.

Don is survived by his wife, Katie Davis; daughter, Sheri (Jeff) Stewardson; sister, Kathy Crawley; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer thanks to special friends, Bob and Lee Foster, Rev. Kent Williams and friends at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and Clear Springs Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date at the E TN State Veterans Cemetery at 2200 E Gov John Sevier Hwy, Knox, TN 37920.

Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Davis family and invites you to sign the online registry at www.gentrygriffey.com.
