Donald Frank DeRosa Sr

Donald Frank DeRosa Sr was 82 years of age and a resident of Lydia, Texas. He was called to his eternal rest on 01 Nov, 2025 at his residence in Lydia. He was born 04 December ,1942 in Monroe, Michigan to parents Albert F DeRosa and Rose DeRosa.

Don was an honorably discharged veteran after 4 years of service with the United States Air Force. After a long and successful 35-year career with Pittsburg Plate and Glass (PPG, Industries) he retired from the company at age 57. Don had a tremendous servant heart, and many described him as one of the most loving, caring and generous individuals they had ever met. He was always willing to step up and help, whatever the need would be. He had great love and pride for his two sons, and he treasured his farm and livestock, of which he was a diligent and caring steward. Don spent his days being a friend to others, tending to his farm and stewarding his cattle, and enjoying an occasional fishing trip. He was always a man-of-his-word, and later in life, by God's grace, he became a man-of-the-Word. Don attested on many occasions of his love for, and desire to learn, the Word of God.

Don is preceded in death by parents Albert and Rose DeRosa, brothers Andy, Albert and Lenny, sister Shirley, nephew Doug, granddaughter Viktoriya, and Shirley DeRosa. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Donald F. DeRosa Jr, and Andrew "Andy" A DeRosa (Sharon); grandchildren Erin Toups, Eric DeRosa (Whitney) and Lucy DeRosa; great grandchildren Nathan, Grayson, Rylee and Graham; sisters Carol and Nancy (Gene); and many devoted and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
