Donald (Don) Edward Davidson, 88, of Edgar Springs, Missouri passed from this life on Friday, August 1, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Don was born on July 15, 1937 to Roy and Faye Davidson in Edgar Springs, Missouri.

Don graduated High School in 1955 from Rolla High in Rolla, Missouri. During his Senior year, Don and the Bulldog Football team were undefeated and for years held the school record. The team also won the SCA Championship that same year. There were many days that in order for Don to make it to practice, he would jog or hitchhike the entirety of the way from Edgar Springs to Rolla.

On September 8, 1956, Don married his high school sweetheart, Connie Ayers. Together Don and Connie built a life of love and devotion around their family, raising 3 children on a working ranch. He and Connie were baptized and became lifelong members of the Edgar Springs Church of Christ.

Don also worked away from the farm as a Union Carpenter for over 40 years until he retired. He always took great pride in his work and for a time was even the Building Trades Instructor at Rolla Vocational School (now Rolla Technical Institute). Don enjoyed Team Roping and for many years traveled up and down the road with Connie and his family by his side, chasing steers and trophy saddles.

Don was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife of 53 years, Connie; and his daughter, Tami. He is survived by one sister, Juanita Arthur of Edgar Springs; one son, Kelly Davidson (and wife Holly) of Rogersville; one daughter, Jami Reppond (and husband Curt) of Edgar Springs; 7 grandchildren, Chad Martin, Kaitlin Callen, Jeremy Davidson, Cody Allison, Hailey Foster, Jodi Davidson and Chance Reppond; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Fresh out of High School, Don traveled to Brownsville, Texas to work out at the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball training camp. After being away for a few weeks he began to get homesick, so he came back home to be with the love of his life. The same was true until the end…..he got homesick and is now back with his love, Connie.

A funeral service for Donald (Don) Edward Davidson will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Edgar Springs Cemetery in Edgar Springs, Missouri. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Edgar Springs Church of Christ.

Thank you Mr Don for everything!!! Especially for Baptizing my boy Winston. When you turned to Miss Connie and said "I've never baptized anyone" and she just smiled and said "He's never been baptized before" You will be missed.
