Donald A. Eades, fondly known as Don to his family and friends, passed away at the age of 86 on October 19, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on November 15, 1938, in Seymour, Indiana.
Don's journey was one marked by dedication and service, as evident in his career as a Tool and Die Maker with Allison Gas Turbine G.M., where he ultimately retired as a General Foreman. He took great pride in his work, exemplifying leadership and meticulous craftsmanship. Beyond his professional achievements, Don was an active member of the Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship were cornerstones of his life. He also was a member of Greenwood Masonic Lodge #514, where he was honored as a 32 Degree Mason.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Eades, and was a cherished grandfather to Nathan and Kathryn Eades. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank V. and Velma (Robinson) Eades, his first wife, Janet (Smith) Eades, his son, Joseph K. Eades, and his twin brother, Ronald Eades.
Don's passions extended beyond his work and community services. He was an enthusiast of the outdoors and found great joy in horseback riding, cultivating his garden, and tending to his beloved Farmall Cub Tractors.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Wilson St Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St Greenwood, Indiana with a service at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
