Donald Ebel was born in Sebewaing, MI, the eldest of eight siblings. He spent most of his life in Flint, and Burton, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Ebel; and his parents Frederick and Lydia Ebel.
He is survived by his two children, Michael Elta of Petoskey, Michigan, and Kathy Boyer of Rotunda West, Florida. He also has three granchildren, Sol Elta, Jacob Elta, and Tara Fishback; and six great grandchildren.
Don worked at Buick Motors until retirement at age 62. He was devotedly Christian and attended various churches over the years. He enjoyed his dogs and his daily walks near his home in Burton and his cottage at Higgins Lake.
