Donald W. Eitner passed away on July 24, 2024 surrounded by his loving family after a hard fought battle with kidney disease and cancer. He was 67.
Don was a life resident of Akron graduating from Garfield High School in 1975. After graduation, Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Gunners Mate. After being honorably discharged, he attended Ohio Diesel Technical Institute and Hamrick Truck Driving School. He retired from Laborers Local #894 after 39 years of service. Don enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Pre-deceased by his parents Alfred and Maryann Eitner and nephew Jacob. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years Pamela; daughter Lisa Allgood (Chris); son Keith (Alexandra) Eitner; and grandchildren Alyssa, Luke, and Kaitlyn. They loved their PawPaw! Also, brothers Mike (Djuna) and Allen; sister Donna (George) Heverly. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, as well as brothers and sisters in-law. Per Don's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Final resting place will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
