Donald Ray Fajardo Jr.

Donald "Donnie" R. Fajardo, age 36, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He was born on Sunday, August 12, 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona. Donnie graduated from Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, with the class of 2003, and enjoyed  woodworking, fishing, and riding his Harley. He was assigned to Engine 44 B Shift and was a member of IFD Class 83, sworn in on Feb. 12, 2018. Prior to his hire with IFD, Donnie worked for the city, with Fleet Services for about 5 years. The greatest joy of his life was spending time with his son. Donnie leaves behind his wife of 16 years: Stephanie and son: Jaxon "Jax" (9), brothers: Tyler Fajardo, and Stephen (Mar) Seefeld, parents: Don (Carline) Fajardo, and Kim (Tom) Seefeld, maternal grandmother: Barbara Mahon: paternal grandparents: James and Neva Fajardo, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and  cousins. Please keep Donnie's family, his crew and station in your thoughts as they deal with and grieve this sudden loss.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Bobby Mahon.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday,  August 1, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Indianapolis Professional Firefighters Union Hall, 748 E. Massachusetts Ave., Indianapolis. Arrangements are in the care of Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Indianapolis Chapel.
