Donald R. Finlayson, age 95, of Trumbull, passed away September 1, 2025. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Benjamin and Mary Emma Finlayson.

Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He previously worked at Sikorsky, Bridgeport Machines and LeFlame Landscaping. Donald was an avid golfer and clammer. He enjoyed supporting local wildlife and feeding his resident ducks in his backyard brook. Donald was a lover of classic black and white films, the Giants football team, sudoku and the weekly crossword puzzle.

He was predeceased by his first wife Anna Mae and his second wife Elaine.

Survivors include his two devoted children, Donald Finlayson and his wife Michelle, and Gail Fisher and her husband Michael; four loving grandchildren, Katie Montana and her husband Jordan, Chelsea Haskett and her husband Ross, Brett Finlayson and his wife Marybeth, and Lindsey Nathman and her husband Michael; five cherished great grandchildren including Aiden, Kai, Winifred, Poppy and Levi; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings Bessy and Howard Friess, Veronica "Honey" Finlayson, Benjamin and Dorothy Finlayson, Russell "Lefty" and Pauline Finlayson, and George and Hazel Finlayson.

Friends and family are invited to his graveside service on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd. Trumbull, CT.
