Fletchall, Donald Edward (Don) passed away on April 20, 2024. He was born March 9, 1932, in St. Joseph, MO, to Olin and Mildred Fletchall, both now deceased. In 1937 the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where Don grew up. He married Beverly Hucabee, his high school sweetheart on September 16, 1950. Don graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree in 1957. After graduating from Georgia Tech, Don worked for Air Research Manufacturing in Phoenix, AR. For one year, and Atomics International in Canoga Park, CA for three years.
In 1961, Don and family moved back to Jacksonville, Fla. Where he joined his father's firm in sales and service of Engineered Products. In 1962 Don became a State of Florida registered Professional Mechanical Engineer. In 1984, Don and Beverly moved to Tampa, Fla., where he co-founded Thermal Tech, Manufactures representatives, in sales and service of boilers and related equipment. He served as president of Thermal Tech until retiring in 1997. In 1987 Don received a Liscense as a State of Florida Mechanical Contractor. Don and Beverly moved to Apollo Beach in 1992, and then to Riverview in 2003. Don was an active member of the South Shore United Methodist Church and served on the Board of Trustees from 2007 until 2011. Don loved traveling and sailing. He and Beverly joined the Tampa Sailing Squadron and spent retirement years cruising around the west coast of Florida, and to the Bahamas. In 2012 Don and Beverly moved to Sun City Center, and Don served as President of the Kings Point Economic Education Club until 2020. Now reunited with his wife Beverly of 73 years, Don is survived by his daughters Dona Holloway and Karen Wilkins, grandchildren Alan Holloway, Lauren Winter, Heather Forensky and Jamie Wilkins and three great-grandsons.
