Born on September 4, 1940, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years JoAnn (Matleck), his parents Cecil and Janie (Wilson) , his brother Richard Francis, sisters Grace Francis and Ruth Ann Albert.
He is survived by his twin sister Doris Cowan, daughter Kathleen Francis and son Duke Francis.
Donnie was a retired coal miner of 35 years, a farmer and a well-known Sand Hill socialite. He knew he lived a blessed life through hard work, good friends and a loving family. He had a lot of fun and great memories.
We want to thank Dallas VFD and Amedisys for their wonderful care.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
