Donald Glaspell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rivertown Funeral Chapel (Ramsay FH Group) on Aug. 5, 2024.
Donald (Donnie) Richard Glaspell III, age 53 passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2024. He was born in Bay City, Michigan to the late Donald and Esther (Jakobi) Glaspell Jr. on January 21, 1971.
Donnie's career was a truck driver. It all stared when he went to work at Waste Management. He enjoyed working there with his dad. Later on in his career, he met the love of his life Carolee Carter. They went many places together and made a lot of memories. Donnie always looked forward to building his derby cars with his friends and family. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his sister, cousins, and friends at the derbies. Donnie showed just how selfless and loving a man could be by being a big father figure to Brandon Delgado and Logan Glaspell (Nephew). Even though Donnie did not have kids of his own he treated these 2 boys like they were his. He spent a lot of time with them. Teaching them about life, taking them places to experience different things which left them a lot of memories them to cherish. Donnie was a very kind and generous man. When it came to family and friends Donnie would give the shirt off his back if they needed it.
He is survived by his sister Tracy Glaspell, nephew Logan Glaspell, the love of his life Carolee Carter and her daughter Savannah, and Brandon Delgado. A Very special Uncle and aunt Keith and Jean Anne Jakobi. Along with other aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Donnie was preceded in death by his mother and father, grandparents and a special uncle Norman Glaspell Sr. A special thank you to Savannah for the love and support the provided that day.
Per Donnie's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial will be planned at a later date.
