Donald Robert Griffiths

Donald Robert Griffiths of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82 years old.
Born on December 14, 1942, Don was the beloved son of John Griffiths and Marie (née Cahill), and brother to the late Jack Griffiths. He proudly served his country as an Army veteran stationed in Germany and later dedicated over 20 years to the Philadelphia Police Department, retiring as a sergeant in the stakeout unit. He was also a proud member of the Free Masons.
Don was a man known for his quick wit, love of music, and endless supply of jokes. His laughter was infectious, and his presence brought joy to all who knew him. He was the kind of dad and pop who made everyone feel special.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (née Kelly), and his cherished children Christine Fortuna (Louis), Tricia Corapi, and Kelly McKinley. Don was the adored Pop to his grandchildren Briana (Michael), Keith, Megan, Robert, Alanna, and Bobby, and great-grandfather to Lindsay, Michael, and Olivia. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Don's life at his Visitation, Saturday, October 18, 2025, after 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM from Rogers Funeral Home, 1426-30 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Religious Service will start at 7 PM followed by Military Honors being rendered at the conclusion of his Religious Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Don's memory to a charity of your choice.
He will be remembered always as the best dad and pop in the world and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
