Obituary of Donald R. Hahn
Donald R. Hahn "Don", 85, of Rexford, NY and formerly of Gloversville and Sherrill NY, beloved husband for 53 years to Carol "Jane" Schwed Hahn, passed away in the loving comfort and care of his family at home on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025.
Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Nathan Hahn, and Lynne (Klock) Hahn and was a graduate of Verona High School. He then served in the US Navy receiving an honorable discharge.
Don retired, after 32 years, from Bristol Meyers Squib after having been employed in Syracuse NY and Evansville, IN.
He was an avid golfer for much of his life, and a devoted fan of the LA Dodgers starting from their early days in Brooklyn when he was just a kid. Don also faithfully followed Syracuse football and basketball. In recent years, he enjoyed playing games of pool, volleyball and putting on the green with his friends at Coburg Village.
The best father ever to Abbe Hahn-Hook and Kathryn Hahn Deffely (Sean), cherished grandfather to James and Erin Deffely, Elizabeth and Samantha Hook.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
The Hahn family expresses their most sincere appreciation to all the dedicated people of Saratoga County Hospice care for all their wonderful work.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society of Gloversville, NY, in memory of Donald R. Hahn and his beloved dog George.
