Barbara "Barb" L. Hahn

(nee Zdeb)

Barb passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Wauwatosa at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of Gordon Hahn for 63 years. Loving mother of Michael (Kim) Hahn, Greg (Lisa) Hahn and Karrie (Bill) Hemenway. Dear grandmother of Zachary (Erika) Hahn, Jarod Hahn, Brianna (Kyle) Cordle, Elizabeth Hemenway and Natalie Hemenway. Proud great-grandmother of Eleanor Cordle and Baby Hahn due in December. Dear sister of Richard Zdeb and sister-in-law of Steve Hahn, David (Lisa) Hahn, Ken Hahn (June) and Kathy (Robert) Howell. Also remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Louise (nee Iwinski) Zdeb; brother, Robert (Doreen) Zdeb; sister, Betty Ann (Bill) Musolf; sisters-in-law, Joan (the late Edward) Halverson and Gertrude (Arlie) Wetterling and brother-in-law, Neal (Diane) (the late Jane) Hahn.

Barbara's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She found solace and joy in the beauty of flower gardening, the excitement of casinos, and the love of cooking. Her culinary talents were enjoyed by many, especially during family gatherings.

Together with Gordon, Barbara embarked on adventures that saw them traveling to Nevada to visit her parents and cruising to the breathtaking views of Alaska. She had an affinity for the outdoors, and the cabin in Westfield was a treasured retreat where memories were made. Camping in Wisconsin's serene wilderness and canoeing in its tranquil waters were activities that brought Barbara immense contentment.

Barb's family extends a special thank you to the staff at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for the compassionate care given to Barb in her final days.
