Donald L Hamrick

Donald L. Hamrick, 69 years old, widower of Christine Hamrick, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Regional Hospice House in Spartanburg after an illness. He was born in Spartanburg County on March 6, 1955, to the late George Washington Mills and Gladys Ophelia Hamrick Quinn. He graduated high school locally and in his working years was an automobile mechanic. He was a devoted member of Brooklyn Baptist Church in Chesnee.

Survivors include his stepson, Billy Henderson of Chesnee, daughter, Tonya Fleming of Campobello, stepdaughters, Tammy Bergmann (David) as well as Maxine Godwin (Dale) all of Chesnee, brothers, Ray Hamrick (Carol) of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Jerry Hamrick of Duncan, Hoyt Hamrick of Chesnee, sisters, Vivian Wilson of Chesnee, Frances Smith of Inman, Karen Cathcart (Mike) of Moore, Gloria Dean (James) of Chesnee, Beth White (Jim) of Harrisburg, North Carolina, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2025, at Brooklyn Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 at the church with Rev. Clay Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
