Donald L. Jester

Donald L. Jester, 83 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 with his family.
Don was born and raised in Delaware and graduated from Conrad High School in 1959. He built a successful career, retiring from his businesses: Paul's Plastering, Miken Commercial Builders, and the Hunters Den Restaurant.
Don was also a proud Life Member of Ducks Unlimited and a dedicated member of the Freemasons and the Shriners Hospital. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting sporting clays, as well as spending cherished time with his family, especially at their beach house.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helenmarie Hitchens Jester, and his children: Kenneth Jester (Becky), Don Jester Jr. (Susie), Dawn Jester DiRocco, and Stephanie Hultberg (Steve). He was also the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren, Kenny, Jr & Angela Jester, Jessica & Andrew Vernon, Kayla & Keith Belson, Brad & Tara Jester, Alexa & Laurie Houston, Kevin Jester, Dakota & Michael Festus and Zach Hultburg. and great-grandfather to fourteen, Camden, Coleson, Sophia, Tait, Kylie, Liam, Caleb, Zoey, Emmett, Lane, Dominic, Sebastian, Wynn and Pete, with one more on the way.
Funeral services will be held at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808 on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 12 Noon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11:45 AM. Burial will be private.
