Donald "Don" A. Jones, 78, of Two Harbors died Thursday, March 9, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
He was born on April 3, 1944 to Lawrence and Esther (Granberg) Jones in Two Harbors where he was a lifelong resident. Don was employed for many years by Reserve Mining Co., retiring in 2007. He was a founding member of the Lake County Rescue Squad, proudly serving 23 years.
Don enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, time at Pathfinder Village, woodworking, and attending his children and grandchildren's athletic events.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert; a sister, Dorothy McGlone; and brother-in-law, Otis McGlone.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jennifer Lorraine (Nelson) Jones; children, Ken (Lynnea) Jones, Patty (Greg) Nordean, and Dan (Dawn) Jones; grandchildren, Sean (Tina), Kayla (Darren), Abbie (Jeff), and Jesse (MaKayla), Austin, Taylor, Madison, and Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Henry, Owen, Jev, Liv, Alden, Rees, and Cale; a brother, Paul (Nancy) Jones; sister-in-law, Elaine Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 4 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors, lunch will follow at the Moose Lodge.
